ABOUT NORTH OF EIGHT DESIGN & MARKETING

We want to keep things simple and transparent.As of January 1, 2026, our hourly rate for website support and updates is $135/hour (previously $95/hour).

Why the change?
Over the last few years, the scope and complexity of website work has grown—along with the tools, security needs, and behind-the-scenes time it takes to do our best work. This updated rate helps us continue to provide the quick, friendly support you’re used to, while keeping your website stable, secure, and running smoothly whenever possible.

What this applies to:
This rate applies to hourly website support requests, such as:
- Content updates (text, images, PDFs)
- Layout/design tweaksPlugin/theme updates and troubleshooting
- Form updates and testing
- Small feature additions
- General site fixes and cleanup

If something looks like a larger project, we’ll always let you know and provide a separate estimate.

How approvals work (so there are no surprises)
When you email us a request, we’ll:
- Review what you need
- Provide an estimated number of hours
- Ask for your approval before we start

We’ll only proceed once you confirm you’d like us to move forward.

A personal note from Emily
‍If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ve probably noticed we’ve tried really hard to keep things steady and predictable. We haven’t increased our hourly rate in over five years, even as the work has gotten more complex and our team’s skills (and the quality of what we deliver) have grown a ton.This update isn’t something we take lightly. It’s simply what allows us to keep showing up with the level of care, speed, and craftsmanship you expect from North of Eight - without cutting corners or rushing the parts you don’t see (but definitely feel when they’re not done well).
